Me & My Girl was a sitcom based around widower Simon, his daughter Samantha and life at his advertising agency – Eyecatchers. Simon gets a job offer in California and Derk,hurt that he was not consulted, invites his friend Fergus to replace Simon. Samantha is worried that if they go to America,Maddie will be jobless so Simon suggests Maddie becomes Derek’s house-keeper whilst Derek’s wife works for the firm.
